General Appearance: Havanese are longer than it is tall. Coat is made of long fine hair. Tail curls over the back. Any color or combination of colors is acceptable.

Size, Proportion, and Substance: 9 to 12 inches tall at the withers.

Background: The Havanese originated in Cuba and was earlier known as Blanquito de la Habana (Havanese Small White Dog) or Perro de Seda de la Habana (Havanese Silk Dog). This breed is lively and intelligent. The Havanese enjoys sharing family activities inside or outside, from swimming to running or playing in the snow.
